Historic Significance: Association with the Gratwick family but especially with William H. Gratwick III. Created in 1900, the property is an example of the Country Place Era in western New York. The estate has a tree-lined drive, formal gardens, ponds, bridges, a labyrinth, and directed views and vistas. William H. Gratwick III used the property to breed boxwoods and hybrid tree peonies of note. These he incorporated into the landscape design of the property.
